A new tack room, drop-shipped from the maker to your barn

The tack room,without the drive.

Cantlepost is a curated showroom of English and Western saddles, bridles, and rider gear — drawn from a vetted network of independent makers and wholesalers, then drop-shipped straight from the supplier's floor to your trailer.

The Showroom

Lower overhead.
Sharper prices.
Deeper racks.

A small team in Kansas curates the catalog and writes the fit guides in-house. No flagship warehouse, no carried inventory past what the makers already keep on their shelves.

Chapter I.

Aggregated, not stockpiled

We pull from a vetted network of independent makers and wholesalers. Stock lives on their shelves; the catalog reads like one very deep tack room, not one warehouse's leftovers.

Chapter II.

Drop-shipped to your barn

Orders route from the supplier's floor to your shipping address. Hard-to-find sizes restock on the maker's lead time, not ours.

Chapter III.

Fit notes from working riders

Local trainers and online discipline communities pressure-test every line before it goes live. Each listing carries measurement guides and discipline-specific fit notes.

Chapter IV.

A trial window that travels

The in-person fitting advantage that brick-and-mortar saddle shops defend? We neutralize it with a generous trial-and-return window and modular-adjustment saddles built for at-home fitting.

The Process

From the catalog to the cross-ties in three steps.

  1. Step 01

    Browse the catalog

Filter by discipline, seat size, tree width, and discipline-specific fit notes. The catalog covers English hunter, jumper, and dressage alongside Western essentials.

  2. Step 02

    Order direct from the maker

Once you've picked, we route the order to the supplier holding that exact saddle or piece of tack. They ship from their warehouse — not ours.

  3. Step 03

    Ride it for fourteen days

Unbox, ride, and check the fit. If the tree's wrong or the discipline isn't right, send it back inside the trial window and we'll route the return to the maker.

Fit & Trial

Built to take the risk out of fitting a saddle you've never sat in.

A saddle is the most personal purchase a rider makes. Our trial window and measurement guides are written for the rider who's fitting at home, not the rider with a fitter in the tack shop.

Measurement guides, not vibes

Every listing carries seat size, tree width, gullet channel, and twist measurements. Plus a fit note from a working rider in your discipline.

Fourteen days to decide

Ride it. School in it. Hack out in it. If the fit's wrong or the discipline isn't right, return it inside the trial window.

Modular & synthetic, in stock

A curated rotation of synthetic and modular-adjustment saddles that reflects where new-tack demand is actually moving.

A real human on the line

Customer support runs in-house from Kansas — not a call center and not a chatbot. Email us about tree width, gullet changes, or which saddle ships fastest.

The Network

A vetted network of independent makers.

Each line goes through fit testing with working trainers and community review before it earns a slot in the catalog.
